Biography

Madeleine Dunford is the Founding Director and Managing Director of Career Connections. She is accredited in various assessment methodologies including Hogan Assessment Systems, Morrisby Profile, Assessment & Development Centres and the Leadership Versatility Index, having introduced the tools into Africa. She brings 22 years of experience in consultancy, putting together large selection, restructuring and development programs for some of the most successful organisations in the banking, airline, telecommunications sectors. She is an accredited Executive Coach and a faculty member of the Academy of Executive Coaching UK. Her qualifications include BA (Hons) from the University of York and an MSc. (with distinction) from Edinburgh University. ‍

Biography

Zia is a Director and Senior Client Partner. With over 25-years of multidisciplinary business experience in a variety of sectors, Zia has held executive and leadership roles in a family business, consumer goods, and consulting. He leads the largest executive search business in East and Central Africa, and through an alliance with Korn Ferry, leads pan-African search assignments for Board, CEO and C-Level hires. In the last decade, through a partnership with the Academy of Executive Coaching, he has contributed to the development of accredited executive coaches in East Africa, and helped organisations design sustainable and personalised leadership development. He is dedicated to helping senior executives and boards of multinational and large local companies by offering a unique perspective that combines an entrepreneurial heritage, a breadth of business experience and an extensive network. This, combined with his depth and specialisation in organisational psychology, supports CEOs and business leaders to understand their leadership, leverage talent, understand complexities and bring about change. He is a graduate of the renowned Executive Master in Consulting and Coaching for Change at INSEAD Business School (with distinction), and has an undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Edinburgh, where he was recipient of the John MacFarlane Award for Leadership. Complementing his vocational specialisations, is his passionate avocation of monochrome waterscape photography, and he regularly holds exhibitions to raise money for conservation and environmental causes.

She has extensive experience in financial management and corporate audits gained in international audit firms at PKF (Kenya) and BDO (East Africa) prior to joining Career Connections. She is Chartered Accountant with the Association of Charterer Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Teckie Karoki is Lead Consultant, Coaching Services. She has diverse experience including advertising, marketing, consulting and communications in various industry sectors in Kenya and USA. Corporate experience prior to joining Career Connections include RYLA (USA) and Alorica (USA). She completed her doctoral studies in Leadership and Management from Walden university (USA). Teckie’s qualifications include MBA (Marketing) - Kennesaw State University (USA), Bachelors in Business Administration (Daystar University) and she is in the process of completing the Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching (Academy of Executive Coaching - AoEC).

Biography

Amrita Choda is Lead Consultant Assessment Services for Career Connections. In this capacity, she supports multi-nationals and large local organisations in managing and developing talent from selection, recruitment, on-boarding, development and outplacement. Amrita is certified from the Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC), UK, in the Executive Certificate in Coaching for Managers and the Assessment & Development Consultants (A&DC), UK, in the Assessor Skills Training, the Leadership Versatility Index (LVI), USA, and Hogan Assessment Systems (HAS), USA. Amrita has over 11 years work experience both locally and internationally, 2 of those years were spent in the U.K. in the Not for Profit Sector and Retail Sector. She holds a BA (Hons) Business Administration from the University of Kingston-Upon-Thames, UK. Majoring in Human Resource Management, Employee Relations, Market Research and New Product Development. As part of Amrita’s experience, she led a team of twenty five employees for six years. Here she was in charge of Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Performance Management and Corporate Sales of the organisation.‍

Adnan Noorbhai is the Chief Operating Officer for Career Connections, East Africa’s leading talent consulting firm and a global alliance partner with Korn Ferry, the global organisational consulting firm. He supports the management in developing and implementing corporate strategies, executing operational frameworks and overseeing the Finance, Administration, IT, HR and Marketing functions at Career Connections. Prior to joining Career Connections, Adnan headed the Finance and Operations division across various sectors like FMCG and Construction. He holds a Masters of Science degree in Finance & Accounting from the University of Nairobi. He also holds a Bsc. in International Business majoring in Finance and Marketing from USIU-Africa.

Cornelius Ng’etich is the Finance & Administration Manager, Career Connections. Cornelius has over 10 years work experience. Prior to joining Career Connections, he worked at Kericho Water & Sanitation Company Limited as the Finance & Commercial Manager with the responsibility of all financial and commercial aspects of the Company. He holds a Master of Science (Finance) from the University of Nairobi and Bachelor of Commerce degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Institute of Certified Investments and Financial Analysts (ICIFA) and Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).‍
